Modern Beauty Session | Marcia
Session Date: December 12, 2014
Post Date: January 2, 2015
Marcia came to me excited about the possibility of doing a Modern Beauty Session as a way to give something special to her husband for Christmas. I gathered my talented team and we set out to make Marcia look and feel amazing. I loved how my hairstylist, Krystal Hilton, took Marcia from a beautiful everyday look to a more glammed up version that was subtle, classy, gorgeous, and just perfect for her Modern Beauty shoot. My makeup artist, Hope Gevorkyan (Canvas Salon), made Marcia comfortable by discussing how she wanted her makeup to look. They went over things like the intensity of the eye makeup and discussed any questions that Marcia had about the makeup application itself. Once again, Marcia went from beautiful everyday to Modern Beauty but in a classic subtle way that still allowed her to feel like herself. My wardrobe stylist, Jodi Numerick, met with Marcia before the photoshoot and helped her pick a few outfits that would be the most flattering in front of the camera and best compliment Marcia and the available backgrounds in the studio. With the help of these three talented ladies, Marcia’s session resulted in exquisitely beautiful images that will be appreciated by her and her husband, her friends and family, and the future generations to come.
Marcia, I would like to thank you for valuing what I do and seeing the value in a beautiful portrait. With this generation of cell phone “pics” and “selfies”, a classic portrait has become rare and almost extinct. And to have a portrait professionally printed and matted so that it becomes something tangible and cherished is even more seldom. I’m so glad that you share my vision in seeing that doing something like this is not just for us but more for our children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and so on. There is beauty at every age and at 60 years young, you’re still absolutely gorgeous! It was such a treat to be a part of this and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
